I often visualise a rope when thinking about our organisation and growth. The rope is made of individual fibres that do share its resilience and strength. Yet when these fibres are spun and entwined, they demonstrate strengths and load-bearing capabilities that far outstrip those of the individual strands.

Our strands are people, their capabilities, systems, processes, new learnings, network of service providers, our expanding global team and our growing repertoire of value-added services.

We become a growth engine when the above are integrated into our organisation.

Athena’s expanding capabilities enable us to handle a 150 kg consignment as efficiently as a 150-tonne project cargo.

While our first decade is ending, we look forward to the next decade and the ones after that. Given our momentum and ingrained capabilities, we will continue to grow, incorporate new value-added services such as speciality-bonded and temperature-controlled warehousing and keep on serving customers well into the future. Athena’s future will be systems and processes driven by SOPs and guidelines. We are digitising operations to ensure greater insight and transparency. We disseminate information about our new services across selected social media to improve customer awareness.

We are expanding to new locations in the South and East of the country and to a few overseas destinations. We continually invest in bettering our talent and capabilities through training.

We emphasise our values and ensure organisational alignment to remain a professional, talented and happy workforce.

Warm regards,

WILFRED MENEZES
